The pump is Switched On when the overhead tank is empty. It is Switched Off when either the overhead tank is the full or the underground tank is empty. In addition to this, it has the provision to switch pump On and Off automatically as per the time of the day as well.

INSTRUMENTS  OF WLC :

  • WATER LEVEL SENSOR – These simple sensors are made of stainless steel and 5 Volt alternating current (AC) is used for water level sensing. Corrosion-resistant, lightweight & simple installation. Suitable for water used in home applications. 5Volt AC is used for sensing water level.
  • FLOAT SENSOR – Float sensors are used in water pump controllers for monitoring and control of water especially water having less conductivity. Corrosion-resistant, lightweight & simple installation. Suitable for an acidic environment. Provide normally open(NO) and normally close(NC) operations.
  • FLOAT LEVEL TRANSMITTER (4-20mA output) –  Float level transmitter ensures ceaseless level measurement up to 2 meters with a 4 to 20 mA signal output.  This liquid level sensor is made out of stainless steel and it is ideally suited for high temperature as well as pressure tank level operations with comparatively clean liquids such as diluted chemicals, lightweight oils in addition to water.

The Concept of WLC System:

 SS Controls manufactures a microcontroller-based fully automatic   Water Pump Controller is designed to sense and control most of the water pumps including submersible pumps. This device works 24/7/365 to maintain the level of water in the water storage tank at the defined level and to keep the water pump ON only when required.

When  connected to a Pump starter, performs the following functions automatically:

  • Switches ON the Pump when the Water level drops below pre-set level (i.e. T2 level) in Overhead Tank.
  • Switches OFF the Pump when the Water level in Overhead Tank becomes full (i.e. T1 level).
  • Switches OFF the Pump when the Water level is low in Sump/Well/Borewell (i.e. S2 level).
  • Switches ON the Pump when there is sufficient water in the Sump/ Well / Borewell (i.e. S1 level).
  • Switches OFF the Pump when there is a Dry run (i.e. when water is not being pumped into Overhead Tank due to any reason).
